Shaping Minds.
Building Futures.

Welcome to St. Mary's Academy, where every learner is encouraged to discover their potential, develop strong values, and prepare for a meaningful future.

About Our Academy

St. Mary's Academy is committed to providing a nurturing, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment where every child is encouraged to learn, grow, and discover their potential. We believe that education is not only about academic achievement but also about character, creativity, discipline, compassion, and service.

Guided by the vision and values of the Franciscan Hospitaller Sisters of the Immaculate Conception, whose congregation was established in Goa in 1886, the Academy carries forward a rich tradition of faith, hospitality, and service to society, especially to those in need. Inspired by the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, we seek to create a community where simplicity, respect, kindness, and responsibility are woven into everyday learning.

Through innovative teaching methods, dedicated educators, and a strong partnership with parents, we strive to develop confident, responsible, and compassionate citizens. Our approach combines academic foundations with creativity, life skills, and opportunities for students to develop their talents and character.

At St. Mary's Academy, we aspire to build more than a school—we aim to nurture a community of learners where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to grow into their fullest potential.

A Message from Our Principal

Dear Parents, Students, and Well-wishers,

It gives me immense joy and a deep sense of responsibility to welcome you to St Mary’s Academy, ICSE Ponda—a young institution rooted in faith, service, compassion, discipline, and education.

Guided by the vision of the Franciscan Hospitaller Sisters of the Immaculate Conception, we are committed to nurturing children through meaningful learning, strong academic foundations, character formation, creativity, and life skills.

With over 30 years of experience in education, teaching, and school administration, including extensive experience in the ICSE system, I feel privileged to help build a school that grows with its students. As we progressively expand our classes and facilities, our focus will remain on providing a safe, stimulating, and child-friendly learning environment.

St Mary’s Academy is more than a place of academic learning. We aspire to build a community where teachers understand children, parents feel heard, and every student is encouraged to discover their abilities and develop their potential.

Dear Parents, when you entrust your child to us, you entrust us with their dreams, personality, and future. We recognise this responsibility and will work continuously, under the guidance of our Management, to ensure that quality grows with the school.

Let us work together to give our children an education that prepares them not only for examinations, but for life.

With God’s grace, we look forward to growing from strength to strength, one class and one generation of young minds at a time.

Welcome to St. Mary’s Academy, Ponda. More than a school, this is a home of faith, excellence, and service, entrusted to us by the Franciscan Hospitaller Sisters. Every child here is cherished as a gift of God, embraced with dignity, compassion, and hope.

Our charism of hospitality reminds us that education is not just knowledge, but the nurturing of hearts. Through the ICSE curriculum, students receive a rigorous, creative, and confidence-building education—delivered with warmth that makes classrooms places of joy and care.

At St. Mary’s, we teach with heart: inspiring dreams, encouraging service, and believing that even the smallest kindness can transform lives. Here, you are never alone—you are guided to grow into compassionate leaders who carry light into the world.

Welcome to this family of faith, hospitality, and service.
